Spring is here!

The weather this week has been absolutely amazing.  We went to the park yesterday and Lyla had her first try on a swing, she LOVED it! Giggling and kicking her feet the whole time, we will be going back!

A couple of 9 month shots...

It's hard to take pictures when she just wants to hold the camera more than anything!

9 month well baby visit

We had a great visit with our Dr. yesterday.  Lyla is right on track!

17lbs 4 oz (20th percentile)
50th for weight
65th for head (yep, big head!)

I also found out that I can start her on whole milk in about a months time. I wasn't sure what we were going to do once I went back to work.  But I'll start with the milk in a sippy cup during the day and continue nursing at night and in the morning once I go to work.  Should be interesting!

Poor baby is pretty sick right now though, with a nasty cold.  I hate wiping her nose all the time, she hates it even more!  She had a rough night last night but I'm hoping tonight goes better.  She hasn't made a peep since I put her down and I'd love a full night of sleep tonight!

I've been terrible with pictures the past month, so we'll have to have a little photoshoot tomorrow so I can post some new pics!

Happy 9 months baby girl!

Another month has passed (no fair that Feb is so short!), and Lyla continues to amaze me every single day.  Today we share our 'birthdays', mine is my real one, 31...sounds pretty anticlimatic compared to last years 3.0.  We did have a really nice day. The weather was amazing, and my parents are here visiting.  We had a really nice dinner and some DQ ice cream cake..mmmm!

We are heading to the Dr. on Tuesday for the 9 month check up so we'll get all the stats, but here is the fun stuff.

1. Waving is the most fun thing EVER! lol  She waves all day long, no matter what is going on, it is an occasion for waving!
2. Pulling up and standing on everything, standing alone for a while on her own, but loves crawling the most.  Also LOVES the stairs!
3. Eating pretty much anything we put in front of her.  Still doing purees most of the time, but she loves her finger food, and wants just a taste of whatever we are eating too.
4. Sleeping pretty well, probably 3 nights a week she sleeps straight through, and the other nights she wakes up for a quick snack at some point.  Since I'm still nursing it's not a big deal, only takes about 15 minutes and she's sound asleep before I put her back in the crib. I'm pretty sure she doesn't really need it, but it doesn't bother me, and sometimes I like the extra cuddle time anyway.

My countdown is down to about 2 months until I go back to work.  We are busy all the time so I'm trying to really enjoy the days that I am at home with her through the day.  Just watching her playing and discovering how different toys work, and what her little body is capable of is endless fun!
