32 Weeks

Okay..I knew it was bad, but 11 weeks? Holy Moly...I've got some updating to do!

Let's start with the pics...

Yeah...I've slacked on that too. but seriously, I don't see a big difference.  I feel like a grew fast and early and now it's just kind of been a slow growth since then.

How far along? 32w4d

Maternity clothes?  Of course...although I'm not enjoying my mat clothes as much as I did last time. I am all about comfort and at home wear as little as possible!

Feeling: I feel like I kind of went through a rough patch where I was kind of grumpy all the time, but I think I've got a little more energy back.  Overall the RLP/sciatica is still there (the main problem I think being that I have not been very active!) But I think the Chiro/Massage care I've been getting has made a huge difference.

Sleep: Most of the time not too bad.  I'm up once usually for the bathroom. Some nights I've had trouble getting back to sleep, but once I get settled I'm good to go.

Food cravings or aversions: Weird...I only really like to eat during the day. I have no interest in supper. I sometimes try to eat something before bed so I'm not starving, but I'm just really losing my appetite.

Best moment this week:  Lyla slept in her crib with the side taken off ( toddler bed! ) and she's been doing fantastic.  She's such a great little sleeper, I'm so excited to move her to her big girl room once it's ready to go.

Movement: Yep...and starting to hurt now and then.

Gender:  team green!

Labor Signs: n/a

What I miss:  Being able to keep up with Lyla, I feel like she gets bored with me pretty quickly because I usually just want to put my feet up.

What I’m nervous about:  Doing okay right now.

What I am looking forward to this week: The weekend. I have Dr. appointments tomorrow so I'm taking the Friday off, and enjoying a long weekend!

Milestones & new this week  1 Month left of work...and less than 2 months until my due date! Crazy!

13w

How far along? 13w1d

Total weight gain: I think I'm going to go by my home scale, because it's a lot different than the Dr.'s, (6lbs!), and that is the one I've been using since the start...sooo 1st tri weight gain = 5lbs

Maternity clothes? Yeah, but so annoying that a lot of the shirts are so big, trying to find a happy medium.

Feeling: Much better! Yay. Still enjoying my sleep though...last night was another 8pm bedtime!

Sleep: Most of the time it's been great.

Food cravings or aversions:  Hasn't been an issue this week.  Now that the nausea has past it's time to start getting back on the healthy eating train though!

Best moment this week: Meeting my new nephew!! So cute! AND I heard the heart beat on Wednesday, that was awesome!

Movement: I swear I have felt something a couple of times...weird!

Gender: ?

Labor Signs: n/a

What I miss: Not much right now.

What I’m nervous about:  I'm feeling pretty settled right now.

What I am looking forward to this week: Trying to get caught up at work and home...being exhausted all the time is tough on the schedule.

Milestones & new this week  Entering the 2nd tri! woohoo!  and, I believe baby is the size of a peach..lol

12w

How far along? 12w1d

Total weight gain: Few lbs, not sure

Maternity clothes? Yeah, but I think the bloat is gone now, so time to bring on the real bump! lol

Feeling: Big time turnaround last week. It was on Wed I woke up and felt somewhat alive...it was fantastic! Still tired, but no where near as bad as it was.  Excited to enter into the 'fun' part of being pregnant.

Sleep: Hit and miss

Food cravings or aversions:  Loving my chocolate milk...and marshmallows...lol, weird eh?

Best moment this week: Realizing I was coming out of my m/s phase...amazing!!

Movement: There's something going on down there!

Gender: ?

Labor Signs: n/a

What I miss: I have really been craving a glass of red wine. I didn't have this issue last time, I think maybe it's just time of year.

What I’m nervous about:  First real appointment on Wednesday...just hope everything is okay.

What I am looking forward to this week: My appointment of course. And right after that I have a massage and chiro appointment...that will be awesome. Also a long weekend! Yay Canada Day!

Milestones & new this week...just feeling better, that's the big milestone, and making it to 12 weeks. Seemed so far away for so long!

40 Weeks....plus

Well, I hope these are the last belly pictures. 40 weeks 3 days. Today I'm off to Dr., hopefully to hear that we are progressing and that we'll be meeting our little one really soon. Not that I'm all that uncomfortable or anything, but I think it's time. I'm starting to get a little bored around the house ( the clean house...with lots of baking done!), and dh is getting very anxious. Today is actually the first time he hasn't called me mid day, guess he's finally understanding that it may take a while longer.

If we don't have the baby by Monday we'll be calling our dr. to discuss induction. I really don't want it to come to that, but we'll do what we have to I guess.

99 days!

Wow, double digits. I remember a few weeks ago figuring out when I would get to 99 days and thinking how far away that is, and now I'm here. So crazy. Baby has been very active the last few days, it makes me smile every time.

The appointment with the new OB went really well. She wasn't even there when we arrived (delivering a baby I guess) but did a great job of getting every one through pretty quickly. It was a pretty regular appointment. I didn't get into a lot of questions or anything, I'll probably start a list of things to ask her for next time. One thing that surprised me was that I have to come back every two weeks now, that's crazy. The good thing is that they do have appointments later in the day so I won't have to miss work, and appointments are always on Wednesday (at the clinic I go to) so I'll know to keep that night open.

That' s it, just a quick update. Pretty tired today, looking forward to a quick nap when I get home..hopefully a little early today.

25 Weeks!

This is really getting crazy, 25 weeks? Seriously? I mean I know we are moving along, I'm finding myself getting frustrated when my body can't do things like it normally does. I jog to my car during a down pour...get there and am totally out of breath. At our fitness class just getting up and down off the floor makes me feel like I weigh 300lbs! But on the bright side, I'm getting beat up on the inside all day long! I can't help but smile when I'm in a meeting and the little one is rolling around in there. It's kind of like this little inside joke that just the two of us have. And Greg is getting a lot more attached too. He's been listening for the hb the last few days, no luck so far, but I'm sure it will happen soon.

We went paint shopping on Saturday. So excited to have that done. I also have the go ahead (he's the budget man) to order our furniture (Ikea, which we don't have here so we are getting it shipped) and...my most exciting order, our stroller. I've spend A LOT of hours researching, and thanks to some tips from my nesties have decided to go with the Bumbleride Indie, it's exactly what I want. Just trying to decide on colors, ruby or seagrass, leaning seagrass, but the ruby is really cute too! the exciting thing is that I found a website that ships to Canada for free! This is a big deal, no American sites do this, so it's great.

We also looked at chairs for the nursery this weekend. I had dreamed of this cute steam lined chair, but I gotta tell you, the big ugly lazy boys...so comfortable! And if I'm going to be spending a lot of time in this thing...which I'm sure I will, I think comfort has to come before looks. Haven't made a decision yet, still have some places to go look, hopefully I'll find something with a happy medium.

So tomorrow is my first appointment with the OB, I've been with my GP up until now, I"m sure I'll have an update on that sometime soon. that's it...here's the belly for this week!

22 week appointment, and prenatal fitness!

So yesterday was a pretty big day. Wednesday night I think I was full of anticipation because I knew it was supposed to be a busy day, plus they were calling for a storm so I didn't get much sleep. Which is a really stupid thing to do the night before having a busy day. But things ended up working out okay.

Greg had to leave early (5:30) for work so I woke up at that time and never really made it back to sleep. By 6am I heard that school was canceled, which meant that my after school volleyball program was canceled, so that took one thing off my schedule. I went to go out to go to my Dr. appointment, and realized the car was sitting on a whole lot of ice...fun times. So after some shovelling/salting etc. I finally got the car out. The appointment was good, I was a little sad because it was my last appointment with my GP, who I love, because from now on I'll be with the OB, who I don't even know yet, so that's a little scary. Big news...well, for the first 18 weeks of this pregnancy I've gained 5lbs, in the last 4 weeks? 9 lbs!! lol I couldn't believe it when I stepped on the scale, it was a little crazy. She just said 'that's great', I couldn't help but laugh. Oh well, if she thinks it's great, then I guess it is.

In the afternoon I had to go to a meeting, which meant I didn't have to come in to the office at all, which was kind of nice. When I came home I got a little power nap in (probably could have slept for the night!) and had a bit of supper. Then I went to my first prenatal fitness class. It felt good to be active again, and to learn what is/isn't safe to do. We'll be doing it 2x/week for 6 weeks. Hopefully the weather will warm up a bit so I can get out walking too. I'm tired because I'm not sleeping well, but I don't think I'm sleeping because I'm not tired enough (make any sense?), so I want to be more active so I'll sleep more soundly at night.

That's all for today. Yay for Friday! So excited for the weekend!

2 Weeks until Christmas!

Another week has really flown by. It's amazing how when I started this blog it seemed like it took forever for just one week to go by, now it seems like I'm constantly updating. I'm really going to try and stick to the once a week entry though (we'll see how that works over the holidays!), because I'm not keeping a written journal, which is something I normally do, so when all of this is over I'll want to print this out so I can have a copy to keep.

So this past week included a visit to the Dr. . I went by myself this week, and everything went pretty normally, pee in a cup, weighed myself (up 2 lbs from starting weight). Then I asked her about the increased heart rate/light headiness. She said it was completely normal and just due to the increased blood volume in the body. I will just have to take it easy when changing positions, and also making sure to keep up good nutrition (gotta work on that!) When she checked my blood pressure it was low (104) so she said that was part of the problem as well. We heard babies heart beat, very strong and easy to find, it was 140bpm, such a great sound! She also asked me whether or not I had signed up for pre natal classes, which I hadn't, but I did yesterday. We'll have one class now (tomorrow night) and then the other 6 classes will be in March and April. She also asked if I had thought about my birth plan...uh no, was I supposed to? Guess I should do a little more reading!

Also did some shopping last week, okay quite a bit, and not of the Christmas variety. I have felt so much better being in comfy clothes for the past week, makes life much easier. Although from this weeks picture I don't think I grew that much, in the evenings it sure if nice to not be sitting here with my pants unbuttoned!

Getting very excited for Christmas vacation. I've been thinking about it and I think I'm going to take a full two weeks off. It will give me a chance to get a lot more done around that house, that I'm sure will get a lot more difficult as the months go by, and it will just be a really nice break. There will be some friends around who I will want to visit with, and it will give me a chance to get my hair cut an other things that always get put to the side this time of year.

Very excited to be able to say I'm 4 months pg after this weekend, but crazy as well, where has the time gone? Speaking of time, I have got to get going on the Christmas shopping!
