32 Weeks

Okay..I knew it was bad, but 11 weeks? Holy Moly...I've got some updating to do!

Let's start with the pics...

Yeah...I've slacked on that too. but seriously, I don't see a big difference.  I feel like a grew fast and early and now it's just kind of been a slow growth since then.

How far along? 32w4d

Maternity clothes?  Of course...although I'm not enjoying my mat clothes as much as I did last time. I am all about comfort and at home wear as little as possible!

Feeling: I feel like I kind of went through a rough patch where I was kind of grumpy all the time, but I think I've got a little more energy back.  Overall the RLP/sciatica is still there (the main problem I think being that I have not been very active!) But I think the Chiro/Massage care I've been getting has made a huge difference.

Sleep: Most of the time not too bad.  I'm up once usually for the bathroom. Some nights I've had trouble getting back to sleep, but once I get settled I'm good to go.

Food cravings or aversions: Weird...I only really like to eat during the day. I have no interest in supper. I sometimes try to eat something before bed so I'm not starving, but I'm just really losing my appetite.

Best moment this week:  Lyla slept in her crib with the side taken off ( toddler bed! ) and she's been doing fantastic.  She's such a great little sleeper, I'm so excited to move her to her big girl room once it's ready to go.

Movement: Yep...and starting to hurt now and then.

Gender:  team green!

Labor Signs: n/a

What I miss:  Being able to keep up with Lyla, I feel like she gets bored with me pretty quickly because I usually just want to put my feet up.

What I’m nervous about:  Doing okay right now.

What I am looking forward to this week: The weekend. I have Dr. appointments tomorrow so I'm taking the Friday off, and enjoying a long weekend!

Milestones & new this week  1 Month left of work...and less than 2 months until my due date! Crazy!

How far along? 21w3d

Maternity clothes?  Yep...last week for this question, seems a little silly now.

Feeling: Feeling pretty good this week. Have a massage and chiro appointment today..that should make me feel even better.

Sleep: Pretty good...slept like a rock last night!

Food cravings or aversions: anything sweet!

Best moment this week:  Date night with dh!

Movement: Lots...so fun

Gender:  team green!

Labor Signs: n/a

What I miss:  I think I'm pretty happy right now

What I’m nervous about:  Doing okay right now.

What I am looking forward to this week: Finished up my work today...heading out on vacation tomorrow! So very very excited!

Milestones & new this week  Nothing really..definitely feeling the belly in the way more now.

This weeks bump pic..feeling good :)

17w

How far along? 17w13...oops falling behind on this one!

Total weight gain:  I'm guessing about 10lbs

Maternity clothes?  yep, that's a given...probably can get rid of this question now :)

Feeling: Pretty good most of the time, still get a little tired here and there. Part of that is because getting comfortable is getting tougher.

Sleep: Pretty good, just need to figure out the right pillow configuration!

Food cravings or aversions: Nope, nothing too serious...still loving my chocolate milk!

Best moment this week:  The best moment is going to be when I get home today! I finally called a cleaning service...I'm so excited to go home to a clean house!  Also swimming with the family on Sunday. Felt so great!

Movement: Haven't felt a lot...looking forward to that!

Gender:  team green!

Labor Signs: n/a

What I miss:  Being comfortable, I feel like I'm constantly adjusting.

What I’m nervous about:  Doing okay right now.

What I am looking forward to this week: A 3 day week! Yay!

Milestones & new this week  Not too much, this kiddo is growing for sure, but I kind of feel like I'm just on cruise control now.

This weeks bump pic: Still feeling 'thick'..not so much pregnant.

14w

How far along? 14w1d

Total weight gain:  Couple more lbs I think

Maternity clothes?  most of the time. wearing regular summer dresses, that's the most comfortable thing right now.

Feeling: Pretty good most of the time, still get a little tired here and there.

Sleep:  Just got a memory foam topper for our mattress and I think it's going to make sleep a lot better.

Food cravings or aversions:  I wanted chinese food on the weekend...yuck, it made me feel nasty and I ended up tossing most of it.

Best moment this week:  The weekend! My inlaws offered to take Lyla for the weekend, and Greg was away, so from Saturday am til about 4pm on Sunday I was all by myself!! I really missed Lyla, but I think it was good for both of us, and I got some much needed rest!

Movement: Can't wait for it to get more consistent!

Gender:  team green!

Labor Signs: n/a

What I miss:  I kind of wish I wanted to go out and do more, but I'm happier just relaxing at home these days.

What I’m nervous about:  Doing okay right now.

What I am looking forward to this week: a 4 day week! yay! I have Friday off and hopefully will have a great day with Lyla!

Milestones & new this week  I think we are into the 'lemon' size this week.  I think I'm showing more, a few more work people have been commenting.  Also new this week? Swimming! That's right, I'm getting by fat rear into a bathing suit and hitting the pool for some lunch time exercise! lol Should be interesting!

This weeks bump pic Hopefully will get better at taking one each week, would like to be able to compare to last time!

40 Weeks....plus

Well, I hope these are the last belly pictures. 40 weeks 3 days. Today I'm off to Dr., hopefully to hear that we are progressing and that we'll be meeting our little one really soon. Not that I'm all that uncomfortable or anything, but I think it's time. I'm starting to get a little bored around the house ( the clean house...with lots of baking done!), and dh is getting very anxious. Today is actually the first time he hasn't called me mid day, guess he's finally understanding that it may take a while longer.

If we don't have the baby by Monday we'll be calling our dr. to discuss induction. I really don't want it to come to that, but we'll do what we have to I guess.

37 Weeks, Full Term!

I know I keep saying how unbelievable this is, but it is so true. I only have 3 days of work left, and then I'm off for a whole year! That is really hard to grasp. I mean since I graduated in 2003 I've been working 49+ weeks out of the year and now nothing? So strange. Not that I'm complaining, I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to spend this first year with my baby full time, I know not everyone has that gift, but it's going to take some getting used to.

Still feeling pretty good, the pelvic pain is getting worse, but once I'm up and moving for the day it seems to get a lot better. I'm also getting pretty tired again, but thankfully it's interspersed with bursts of energy so I have been getting some things done. Including some more shopping! (I"m spending way too much money!)

I just got an order in the mail yesterday, an Ergo Carrier, Hotsling, and some cloth diapers.

The Ergo, is black with 'retro lining'. I also got the infant insert so we can use it right away.

The hotsling is 'Full Bloom', I'm excited to have this for the early days, it will be a great way to keep the baby with me if he/she is fussy but still have my hands free.

Finally, I added a few things to my CD stash, a couple of XS thirsties covers, since all I have are size small. 2 Bum Genius XS (So ridiculously cute!) and a size small fuzzi bunz just to try, although it seems pretty big, so I'm not sure how soon I'll get to use it. This is added to my prefolds (36 infant sized) and 4 KLO, as well as 4 other fitteds called Sugar Peas.

This is becoming a crazy long entry, so I should wrap it up! Here are this week's pics.

36 weeks...That's 9 months!

This is unreal, I can't believe I'm here already. I have 6 days left of work, just over 3 weeks until my due date, and the craziest thing...I drove to work with a car seat in my car this morning! lol Dh was nesting a little last night too. We have more places to put a baby in our house than I know what to do with. Poor Ella is just wondering around trying to keep up with all the craziness around the place, and I have to say I can't blame her!

What's going on? Feet? Crazy swollen, hilarious really, hands a little bit too. Still quite painful to be rolling over in bed, but nothing too bad. My high school stretch marks have decided to sprout some extenstions, and then last night my first PG related only stretch mark appreared...yuck! I guess I should be thankful that it happened after my Mat pictures were taken on Satruday. We had a lot of fun getting them done, I was very impressed with DH, and the photographer was fantastic. I'll talk more about here when my teasers are ready...she said Wednesday.

Had two baby showers (not for me) on Sunday, that was a lot of fun. But the weekend was really exhausting, I feel like I need a break from the weekend. I'm trying to use my evenings better, than just sitting on the couch that is! Got the rest of the shower stuff washed and put away last night. The only other thing I have to do wash wise is the diapers, but I want to wait until I'm home for the day so I can just do the 3/4 cycles one after the other.

Placing one more order for things from a website. And I think that will finish up my 'must have' lists for now. I"m getting a few AIO diapers in newborn sizes and some newborn size covers. Also a hotsling and an ergo carrier...holy crap this baby is expensive! lol

Here's this weeks pic...wonder how many more of these I'll have?

33 weeks...Mini Vacay over

I had a really nice extra long weekend. Got just enough baby 'stuff' that I feel if a baby came I wouldn't have to make a huge list for dh to go pick up at Walmart! lol Had quite a few nice naps (never enough), and realized that I'm so ready to start my mat leave. I came into work this morning to my boss making some drama, as usual, over a stupid meeting tonight (doesn't stress me in the least). I just really don't want to be here anymore, but 1 month left. I guess I shouldn't complain, in reality I only have 18 work days left, I know I can handle that.

I think I am starting to feel the effects of this whole deal though. I'm pretty sure I've got that spread in the pelvis that causes lovely pain whenever I roll over, get up or stand/walk...so nice. Dr. said I'm okay to take tylenol as needed, but to be honest it's more that I can do what I want more than the pain. I think long and hard before rolling over in bed, and stretches that used to feel good feel awful.

Enough complaining though, things are good. My Dr. appointment last night went great. BP is still good, measuring fine, babe's hrate is great, and I'm consistantly gaining about 1.5 lbs every two weeks now (I hit 30lbs last night! lol). Only one more week off and then I'll be weekly appointments until the end. Greg even came with me last night, which was nice, he's been working/playing hockey during most of my appointments so it was nice to have him there.

Had a nice Easter dinner with Greg's family, but really just relaxed for the past week. Can't complain about that. Oh...also, got our HUGE chair for the nursery, it's hilarious, it takes up 3/4 of the room, but so worth it. I could sleep there any day. Which I'm sure I'll be doing lots of.

32 Weeks...8 months...8 weeks left to go

As if I didn't realize how real this was getting on my own, every random co worker thinks it necessary to lay a 'not long now' comment on me just about daily. Really? I hadn't noticed. We had our L&D 'medical intervention' class last night, pretty eye opening. Great instructor who was able to answer all my questions. I think dh even learned some things.

Not a lot of other news this week. I'm sure I'll think of other things later. But for now, feeling pretty good. A little more sensitive to what I"m eating, just have to think about it a little bit, and feeling more tired. Sleep has become a lot more important these days. This week shouldn't be too bad, only working until Wednesday, and then I'm taking a week (Thursday-Wednesday) off. Looking forward to the break and getting some things done around the house. Lots of church (Easter) and probably dinner in Antigonish on Sunday, but mainly just enjoying the break.

31 weeks, 2 months to go!

March 31 today, and another snow storm! This has been a super long winter and it's kind of making me wish I was putting my education degree to a bit better use. The schools in the board around where I work are on snow day number 16! That's crazy, although i would imagine if I was a high school teacher I'd be getting a little stressed about getting all the work done.

Had a pretty good week. Greg has been sick, and I've been having moments of feeling not so hot, but so far I haven't gotten as sick as him. He was away for a couple days on the weekend, so hopefully I won't catch it. I also had my parents over for a visit on the weekend. It was really nice to have them here and to get a chance to share some of the baby prep stuff with them. We went shopping and they bought our pack n play and I bought our car seat. I'm pretty happy with both purchases.
Both were on sale at Sears this week, so I thought it would be a good chance to pick them up.

Other than shopping, we went out to dinner one night, but just stayed pretty close to home the rest of the weekend. They will be back over when the baby arrives, but I know that our visits will never be the same again, so tried to soak up the quiet time with them.

We have our first prenatal class at the hospital where I'll be delivering tonight. We've had a few already but they were at a community health center near our place. Tonight is all about labor and delivery so it should be pretty interesting. I've also got a 32 week appointment with my OB tomorrow, and a dentist appointment on Thursday so it's going to be a busy week.

Overall, I'm starting to feel a little more tired again. I'm trying to get to bed early, and when I get to sleep I'm usually fine. The days I don't get sleep are pretty miserable. I find the long days at my desk pretty tough, and spend quite a bit of time day dreaming about going to bed again! My stomach has been a little testy too, I need to be careful not to eat too much at one time, or to eat anything too heavy. But in general I really can't complain.

30 weeks, 3/4 done

Still moving along, everything seems to be going well. My only complaint continues to be the swelling, I got in the tub last night and couldn't believe my big thick ankles, so attractive. One concern right now is that Greg is really sick, well he's boy sick, which means lots of drama a sulking. I'm just hoping I can avoid it. Maybe it's a good thing that he's going away this weekend so he's not around me. My parent's are going to come over for the weekend, so it will be nice to spend some time with them.

Saturday I went to a cloth diapering workshop which was a great source of information, but now has me kind of obsessed and trying to figure things out. Trying to make things cost effective, but also easy enough that we (mainly dh) will want to stick with it. I'm not too worried about the first couple of weeks. If we find things are too hectic as it is and we need to do some disposables we will, but I'd like to get into the rythm asap. I've been spending lots of time researching and have come up with lots of ideas, I just have to sit down and make some decisions.

Not a lot of other news right now, so just this weeks pics...growing and growing!

29 Weeks, 3 days

Spring is almost here! So exciting! I'm loving the warmer weather, for many different reasons. The number one reason is that my winter jacket now makes me feel like an even bigger marshmallow than I normally do, and my spring one can't button any more...so it's an open spring jacket, regardless of the weather (come on warm weather!).

Lots of pics this week, so not a ton of news. Lots and lots of movement, sleeping pretty good, still through the night on some nights. Started our prenatal classes last week, have 5 more to go, so far so good. LOVED having last Friday off, made the whole week so much more tolerable and I got a ton of work done knowing I wouldn't be there on Friday. That's about it, maybe I'll update later in the week.

Enjoy the pics!
Belly pics, 29w3d

A special gift from a new Mommy friend of mine. Her advice to me was to enjoy this time 'alone' with the baby, because before you know it you'll have to share him/her with everyone else!

Even DH has started 'nesting', I went in the baby's room last night to find that he had taken the few little things that we have gotten for baby so far and hung them in the closet. So cute. Plus...love the closet organizer he put in for me.

One of my favorite things in the baby's room, the light fixture, so pretty.

Crib is in place, just put the bedding in to see how it would look, dh still has lots of stuff laying around in there. Next step...need some curtains!

28 Weeks...7 Months!

I need to start by being so very thankful for how great I've been feeling. I have my down moments, when trying to haul myself off the couch or out of bed for example, but overall, I really can't complain. I can eat whatever I want (smaller portions usually), and seem to be on a pretty normal sleep pattern too. I've even gone back to sleeping through the night without having to pee! That's amazing!

We've gotten the nursery well under way. Floor is in, paint done, closet organizer up, light fixture in (although at this point it's not working...I'm just not going to mention it for a few days) I just can't wait for Greg to finish with the details so that I can can my hands in there and do the fun stuff!

Fitness class is still going well. I will admit that it's a lot harder now, and I've even been aching a little more the day after, but it still feels good. And we've had some great weather too, so I'm going to be getting my butt walking very soon.

Actually, the most exciting news this week will help in my goal to be walking more! I just arranged my vacation/leave time, and it actually kind of kicks in this week! I decided to start my 1 year Mat leave 2 weeks prior to my due date. I know that means I'll have to go back to work before babies birthday, but hopefully he/she will understand that Mommy needs some time before their arrival to get things straightened away and hopefully get a little rest. But since I don't know if I'll go on time/early/late, I don't want to leave my vacation until then and then not get to use it. So I've decided to take an extra long Easter weekend (3 extra days), which still leaves me with 7 vacation/overtime days to use up. So I've decided to start 4 day weeks! Woohoo! I think this will make me much more productive on the days that I am here, and will let me get lots of stuff around the house on days when Greg isn't there and I can just focus on one task at a time. I'm so excited.

So that's about it for now. 12 weeks to go!

You are all belly....Liars! lol

So lately everyone keeps telling me that it's 'all belly', doesn't look like I've gained much weight at all! Well, from the pants that no longer come up over my hips, and the steadily increasing numbers on the scale I know for a fact that this isn't true, but I thought that I would take a good look at the only way to really tell, the before/after pics. I've been taking pictures in different clothes each week, and thought a direct comparison from the beginning would help. Anyway...here is the real truth!

Well, at least the shirt still covers my belly...my guess is it won't be doing that for much longer!

27w3d

I'm feeling pretty scattered today, it's like time is flying by and I have no control over it. It's not that things are stressful, it's just all coming at me at once. The days that used to drag on are now going by so quickly that I can't keep track of what's going on.

We had a pretty busy weekend. Curling Friday night (we won! lol), got to hang out with our friends new baby. He was born at 33 weeks, and now at 8 weeks old weighs just 7lbs, so cute. Saturday I had to work for a bit, and then we had Greg's parents over for supper. Greg and his Dad put together the crib and one of the dressers, which was nice for them to do together. Sunday we had church in the morning, then friends over for brunch. In the afternoon we went and bought a mattress for the crib(at Sears) and a closet organizer system and light fixture at Home Depot. I can't wait for Greg to finish all the 'construction' stuff in the nursery so I can get going with the fun stuff!

I also had my WinRho shot on Friday, not really a big deal, but another thing checked off the list, which was great. I had to go to the hospital where I'll be delivering to get it done so while I was there I registered as a patient and confirmed that I will have a private room. My insurance covers up to a semi private and for only $15/night more I could reserve a private, so I was happy to do that.

Still feeling really good. Had a day that I was really uncomfortable last week, just weird pressure and stuff, but to be honest it was probably just something I ate. I felt a ton better the next day. Still enjoying our fitness class, still waiting for some better weather so I can get out walking.

That's it, here are the 27 week pics.

26 week pics...better late than never.
