How far along? 9w1d

Total weight gain: I think it's a couple of lbs now.

Maternity clothes? Yeah, and loving it. Not everything obviously, a lot of the pants and stuff are way to big, but I ordered a few summer tops from Old Navy, and they are SO perfect. They just make me feel more put together, and I don't have to be pulling at them all the time.

Feeling: hmmm...not to sure how to describe it. Find sometimes, exhausted most of the time.  really hungry, then ridiculously full.  Good times.

Sleep: okay, hit and miss really

Food cravings or aversions:  Nothing in particular no. Lots of chocolate milk...cause I can!

Best moment this week: Lyla's party. She had so much fun and was so cute. Love that girl!

Movement: Nope

Gender: ?

Labor Signs: n/a

What I miss: waking up feeling rested, enjoying preparing/eating a meal.

What I’m nervous about:  Keeping up with work, I feel like I'm only operating at about 50% right now.

What I am looking forward to this week: Nothing too exciting. Hoping that I continue to feel decent most of the time. And hoping for some nice weather.

Milestones & new this week:  Size of an olive...grow baby grow!

Other notables?  Had the whole family and a bunch of other people over for the party on the weekend. My parents were a great help (pretty much cleaned my whole house), and made sure that I took lots of breaks. Its frustrating  not having the energy I want, but it went a lot better than I thought it would.

Also, we booked our summer/fall vacation . I'm standing in a wedding so we booked a cottage for the week leading up to it.  going to be so nice to have that to look forward to all summer.

How far along? 8w2d..hard to believe

Total weight gain: not really paying attention

Maternity clothes? pants? yep, I'm sure I could button my regular pants but it's so uncomfortable.

Feeling: This is kind of day to day/hour to hour.  I do think the diclectin is working, and I haven't been as spacey as I was last week, but still there are moments when I just want to go lie down throughout the day.

Sleep: Better, just never enough of it.

Food cravings or aversions:  Nothing in particular.  I've been drinking lots of chocolate milk, but I think that's just because I want to ! lol

Best moment this week: Telling my Mom, it's nice to be able to talk to her about things.

Movement: nope

Gender: ?

Labor Signs: Thankfully no

What I miss: Having the energy to keep up with Lyla

What I’m nervous about:  Dealing with all of our family this weekend.

What I am looking forward to this week: Lyla's birthday party! I can't believe she is going to be 2!

Milestones & new this week: I think we are now at the size of a raspberry...nothing else too exciting.

In general I'm just kind of dopey.  I would love to just kind of sit around the house all day napping and snacking as I please.  Mornings, the getting up part have been tough. And I'm finding the afternoons at work really long. I've been trying to find reasons to get out of the office. I find if I'm busy and doing things it's not as bad.

31 weeks, 2 months to go!

March 31 today, and another snow storm! This has been a super long winter and it's kind of making me wish I was putting my education degree to a bit better use. The schools in the board around where I work are on snow day number 16! That's crazy, although i would imagine if I was a high school teacher I'd be getting a little stressed about getting all the work done.

Had a pretty good week. Greg has been sick, and I've been having moments of feeling not so hot, but so far I haven't gotten as sick as him. He was away for a couple days on the weekend, so hopefully I won't catch it. I also had my parents over for a visit on the weekend. It was really nice to have them here and to get a chance to share some of the baby prep stuff with them. We went shopping and they bought our pack n play and I bought our car seat. I'm pretty happy with both purchases.
Both were on sale at Sears this week, so I thought it would be a good chance to pick them up.

Other than shopping, we went out to dinner one night, but just stayed pretty close to home the rest of the weekend. They will be back over when the baby arrives, but I know that our visits will never be the same again, so tried to soak up the quiet time with them.

We have our first prenatal class at the hospital where I'll be delivering tonight. We've had a few already but they were at a community health center near our place. Tonight is all about labor and delivery so it should be pretty interesting. I've also got a 32 week appointment with my OB tomorrow, and a dentist appointment on Thursday so it's going to be a busy week.

Overall, I'm starting to feel a little more tired again. I'm trying to get to bed early, and when I get to sleep I'm usually fine. The days I don't get sleep are pretty miserable. I find the long days at my desk pretty tough, and spend quite a bit of time day dreaming about going to bed again! My stomach has been a little testy too, I need to be careful not to eat too much at one time, or to eat anything too heavy. But in general I really can't complain.

24 Weeks

I guess this is the week they call 'viability week', and from what I've been reading it means that if baby JGM were to make a surprise entrance into the world now s/he would have a more than 50% chance at survival. That is pretty crazy to think about. Hopefully we won't ever have to test that out and everybody will just stay right where they are for quite a while longer.

Not a whole lot of baby news this week. The bump is really coming along and the frequency and intensity of the kicks is really starting to pick up. I had a great time last night lying in bed and watching the belly dance all over the place, that was pretty crazy. Greg still doesn't have a lot of patience for sitting around and waiting for kicks, not that I"m really surprised, but I would like him to start getting excited about it too.

Our bedding arrived on Friday. I really do love it, it's really pale/muted, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Now we just have to figure out the furniture situation and we will be off and running with the nursery. Hopefully we'll be able to get the paint picked up this weekend so that the room will be ready to go when we do get the furniture. I've been avoiding making any purchases because I would like that room to be ready to store the stuff. Our house isn't huge and I don't want stuff just lying around any where.

Here are this weeks pics..grow baby grow!

The weekend was a busy one as we went home to visit the folks and to celebrate Dad's big 6-0! We had a nice time, dinner and cake at my brothers after. I also got to spend the day on Saturday with my best friend and her little ones since her MIL was hosting a shower for her. Her 3 year old told me that we are having a girl and that her name should be 'banana baby', too cute. I just realized I should have taken some pics of the birthday boy, but instead all I got was pics of my adorable nephew! Can't take too many of those.

23 weeks!

So hard to believe it's February already! Dad's birthday, valentine's day, Greg's birthday, big month! And baby has reached the size of a letter! 8.5 inches crown to rump, that's crazy! Not that I haven't felt the growing, baby is doing lots of kicking in there these days, so fun. I was determined to get Greg to feel it last night, and he said he did, but I'm not really sure. I think this kid is going to have to really smack him before he gets excited about it. Oh well, it's exciting to me. We wake up together everyday, I have endless amusement while sitting at my desk during the day, and my favorite, our time hanging out on the couch after supper, that's when the dance party really starts!

I was laughing on the way to work today as I belted out Taylor Swift's 'love song', wondering if baby will remember that song, as I sing along to it a lot on the way to work. I love music, and I really hope the baby does too. It's crazy to think about all the stuff that we need to learn about this kid. Will we be running off to soccer practice, or dance class, hockey or art school. I did pretty much everything and I hope our kids have the same diverse interests. I know Greg is very excited to have his son/daughter at his ball games this summer. He always said he was stopping after last summer, but I think he wants to be able to show off for him/her!

I've been having some trouble sleeping this week, and therefore having some long tiring days at work. But today seems a lot better. It might have to do with the fact that there is a storm on the way and I'm considering hitting the road sooner that later if it starts to get nasty. I did have a couple of rough nights, but hoping that was just a little phase and that it isn't going to become the norm. Ever since my little scale shocker last week I have been quite a bit more conscious about what I'm eating, and I think I feel better because of that. I'm also really excited to be getting some exercise again. We had our second class on Sunday and it was great. I almost didn't go because I had such a nasty headache, but the class really helped.

Excited to be heading home to visit the fam this weekend. It's dad's 60th birthday next week so we are all going to celebrate with him. Can't wait to see my adorable nephew, and my best friend is having a post baby shower for her little one Eve, so that worked out well too. That's about all for now, keep your fingers crossed for some great NS winter weather today to get me home early! lol

Christmas 08

Since it was a possiblity that we may not be interested in travelling next year (with a 7 month old!) we figured we had better get all of our travelling in this year. We did stay home Christmas eve, and then had dinner with Greg's brother and family (three little girls) before we headed off to my parents place(1.5 hour drive). We stayed there for 3 nights and then drove to Greg's parent's (3.5 hours) where his little sister, who is a chef, made us a great dinner. Finally returning home on the 29th (2 hour drive) because we had a Dr.'s appointment on the 30th.

After that we took it pretty easy. Spent a lot of time just puttering around the house, a little bit of shopping and visiting but that was about it. I made an attempt at cleaning up our 'junk room' which somehow is going to magically turn into a baby's nursery over the next couple of months. New Year's was pretty low key as well. I had to play at my churh for mass then we just went over to our friend's new house, they now live in our neighborhood so it was perfect. We just hung out and chatted for a while, the boys played poker, and then we watched the CanadavUSA hockey game. Made it home around 1:30, a very late night for me! The next day we were storm stayed the whole day.

That's about it, here are some pics !
